Join our retirement community in Baltimore, Maryland
As a National Lutheran Community, The Village at Augsburg is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), as well as a not-for-profit organization. Being not-for-profit means all of our financial resources are invested in residents and the communities where we live and work. Because we don’t owe anything to shareholders, we are able to focus solely on our mission: NLCS honors, inspires and supports choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults.
What does this look like in practice?
- Peace of mind for residents: Because older adults living in our community are the only reason we exist, our focus is on you, not on our return on investment. While not-for-profit organizations do need to make money to operate, the money you spend with us is directly invested in the maintenance and operations of our community. After paying for overhead, our financial resources are here to serve you — through opportunities, exciting events, and upgraded amenities. In buying into a CCRC, you are making a responsible choice for you and your loved ones interested in senior living in Baltimore, Maryland.
- Investments in our team: Since our community is not driven by profit and does not face the pressure of meeting a high return on investment, we are mission-driven, and we prioritize ethics, quality and social responsibility. For residents, that means our community is built around service. We are here to enable you to explore more, do more and live more fully. To achieve this, we promote a culture of hospitality among our team, so we invest in the best people with bright attitudes and go-getter personalities. We also recruit incredibly skilled talent for our health care services to make sure you have the best of care, in addition to the finest service.
- Investments in the community: We are proud of our history as a retirement community in Baltimore, Maryland. This city is a great place to live and work, raise a family, and build a life for yourself. We love it here, so we are proud that as a not-for-profit organization with a philanthropic arm, we are able to support other organizations and causes in the area, in addition to offering financial support for families in need. The Village at Augsburg is a ministry, and we are here to serve.
- Discover the value of a CCRC: As part of our continuum, we offer four broad levels of care, giving you choice as you age as well as the convenience of being able to stay in one community: independent living, assisted living, and long-term care. We also offer skilled rehabilitation so you will have peace of mind knowing you will be taken care of should your needs change.
